Employee Spotlight: Get to know Heidi Tomlin
Renaissance Rentals is staffed by a diverse team of local professionals. In our employee spotlight blog series, we'll be highlighting the talented individuals that help to make our company Bloomington's most trusted local landlord!
Heidi is our newest employee. She is a Leasing Assistant and works with our various leasing staffs to keep offices in order, daily tasks under control, and is beginning to learn photography for us too! To help you learn more about Heidi, I've asked her some "getting to know you" questions.
1.) Did you have a favorite cartoon show growing up? What was it?
"As I child, I loved SpongeBob SquarePants. It was the only thing I would watch until I was ten!"
2.) Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!
"I have a 7-month-old Diluted Tortoiseshell cat. Her name is Binx, and she is a ball of energy."
3.) Where are you from and what places have you lived?
"I am from Woodsfield, Ohio. I lived there until I started college and then temporarily moved to St. Clairsville, Ohio. After completing my degree, I moved to Bloomington, Indiana."
4.) How long have you lived in Bloomington and what do you like most about it?
"I officially moved here in October 2021, but I did visit and stay with my aunt very often from March 2021 until I moved here myself. My favorite thing about Bloomington is its diversity."
5.) What is you favorite season of the year and why?
"Winter is the happiest time of the year for me. It is just so wonderful, and so much joy runs through my family during this time of year."
6.) What is your favorite movie or book?
"I am obsessed with the movie Titanic. Not just the movie but the history behind it."
7.) What's a fun fact about you that might surprise people?
"I am a major homebody. I barely leave my place unless I must."
8.) What is your favorite thing about working at Renaissance Rentals?
"My favorite thing about working at Renaissance Rentals is the opportunity to work with a friendly team that truly cares about their communities and wants to make it a better place for residents and the team as well."
