Employee Spotlight: Get to know Kenzie Colvin!

Renaissance Rentals is staffed by a diverse team of local professionals. In our employee spotlight blog series, we'll be highlighting the talented individuals that help to make our company Bloomington's most trusted local landlord!
Kenzie manages our SummerHouse at Indiana, but has also worked at our MeadowCreek and Verona Park communities. To help you learn more about Kenzie, I've asked her some "getting to know you" questions.
1.) What is your favorite local restaurant?
"I love The Owlery! Their options are entirely vegetarian and the menu has helped me feel adventurous with meat-alternative meals. I love their BLT and Peanut Veggie Bowl!"
2.) What is one item you couldn't live without?
"I'm a big journaler and my completed journals are prized possessions. I couldn't live without my journal!"
3.) Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!
"My family has a Maltese-Yorkie mix named Bell. She was a rescue, so she is still very anxious, but she has become more silly, daring, and cuddly in the last few years. She has us all wrapped around her paw!"
4.) What is your favorite book?
"Like so many, the Harry Potter series has had a lasting impact on my entire family. This past year we had a Harry Potter themed Christmas! The series is magical and has been such a fun way to be imaginative with my family members."
5.) What TV or streaming shows are you currently watching?
"My sister and I have been watching Elementary, which stars Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Joan Watson. I recommend it to everyone I talk to."
6.) If you could travel to any part of the world, where would you go?
"I would visit Scotland. I have always been mesmerized by the vast green views of the country and, for some reason, I have always been drawn to the life of Mary, Queen of Scots."
7.) How long have you lived in Bloomington and what do you like most about it?
"I was born and raised in Bloomington! It was a wonderful place to grow up, but I feel like I really discovered my love for the town once I went to college. There are so many gem spots in town, like Flat Rock at Lake Monroe, the trails at Lake Griffey, IU's Campus, and all of the different restaurants!"
8.) What is your favorite part about working at Renaissance Rentals?
"I have loved working with and getting to know the team at Renaissance Rentals. I couldn't ask for a better and more welcoming group of people to work with everyday!"
