Employee Spotlight: Get to know Stellie Henke!
Stellie Henke has worked behind the scenes with Renaissance Rentals for a handful of years, but is now pivoting to a customer-facing role at Scholar's Rock! Additionally, Stellie assists with our social media efforts! To help you learn more about Stellie, I've asked her some "getting to know you" questions.
1.) What is your favorite local restaurant?
"Definitely Siam House. Their buffet is the best lunch around!"
2.) Everyone’s got a guilty pleasure. What’s yours?
"I have a huge sweet tooth. One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is bake."
3.) What advice might you give to a new renter?
"Read your lease–yes the whole thing! Even if you think you have a pretty good idea of what it says, you can’t be sure until you read the whole thing through. I give this advice to all my friends. It’s super important and takes maybe 15 minutes of your time."
4.) Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!
"Yes, some might say I have too many, but I’m a huge animal lover. I have a dog named Bingo, a cat named Tarot, two parakeets, and a small corn snake. It’s definitely a full house but it’s for sure worth it."
5.) What is your favorite season?
"This may be cheating, but my favorite time of year is when the seasons start to change. I think it’s so exciting to watch the leaves change color or the flowers start to bloom."
6.) If you could travel to any part of the world, where would you go?
"I would love to travel around Asia. It’s so diverse and I’ve only ever been to Europe, so it would be fun to see something completely different."
7.) What is your favorite movie?
"My favorite movie has got to be What We Do in the Shadows. It’s by far the funniest movie I’ve ever seen and perfect for the Halloween season!"
8.) How long have you lived in Bloomington and what do you like most about it?
"I’ve lived in Bloomington almost my whole life. I love that it has lots of the same perks as bigger cities, but is still surrounded by nature and maintains a cozy small-town vibe."
